What happens if I’m delayed at work and pick up my kids late?WCDC’s afterschool program runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If you’re delayed at work, WCDC offers a grace period for pick-up and provides extended care options for an additional fee. Your child will be supervised and engaged in activities until you arrive. There are $5 for 30 minutes for the extended care to 6:30pm. After 6:30pm, there will be an extra $30 for 30 minutes.

Can I reschedule the class?Yes. You can but you need to follow the rules below. After-School Classes (Monday to Friday): You can request schedule changes (e.g., switching days, adding, or canceling days) within the first two weeks of the term. All requests must be submitted by 6:00 PM on the Friday of the second week. After this deadline, no adjustments will be allowed. Once your request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with any necessary changes, including updated fees. Saturday Enrichment and Online Classes: For these programs, you have until 6:00 PM on the Sunday of the second week to submit rescheduling requests. Changes will be made based on availability, and you’ll receive a confirmation email with details on the changes made.

What happens if my child misses a class?Personal Reasons: If your child misses a class due to personal reasons (illness, family event, etc.), no make-up class will be provided. However, if you give at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled class, you will receive one class credit, which can be applied to a future WCDC class or program. This credit is valid for one year from the date of issuance. For Saturday class, only one class credit can be refunded for the whole semester. Teacher Absence: If a class is missed due to the teacher’s absence, WCDC will arrange a make-up class at a later time, and you will be informed about the rescheduling.

What is the cancellation and refund policy at WCDC?Notice Requirement: If you need to cancel your child's enrollment in a class, you must submit a cancellation request in writing at least two weeks prior to the program start date. Cancellations can be submitted via email or in person at the WCDC office. Refund Policy: WCDC does not provide monetary refunds for cancellations. Instead, you will receive a class credit, valid for one year from the date of issuance, which can be applied to future classes or programs. Partial Withdrawal: If you withdraw your child after the second week of the term, refunds are issued in the form of class credits: * Weeks 3 to 6: After deducting fees for completed classes, 50% of the remaining tuition will be credited to your account. * After Week 6: No refunds or credits will be provided for cancellations after this point.

What is WCDC Referral Policy?The WCDC (Westchester Child Development Center) referral policy is designed to reward families for sharing their positive experiences with others. Here’s how the policy works: Referral Reward: When you refer a new family to WCDC and they enroll their child in any of the WCDC programs, both you (the referrer) and the new family (the referee) will receive a $50 class credit. Eligibility: The referring family must be currently enrolled in a WCDC program. The referred family must be new to WCDC and complete the enrollment process, including payment for at least one full session of any program. Class Credit Usage: The $50 class credit will be applied to your account once the referred family's enrollment is confirmed. This credit can be used toward any future WCDC programs or classes and is valid for one year from the date of issuance. No Cash Value: The class credit cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay for past enrollments. It must be used towards future classes or programs offered by WCDC. No Limit on Referrals: There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make. You will receive a $50 class credit for each new family you successfully refer. This policy allows families to benefit from their referrals while helping the WCDC community grow.
